- FINS pool water is treated with chlorine, in accordance with the Texas Dept. of Health, and electronically monitored 24 hours a day to ensure proper chemical levels are always present.
- Each of our pools is also equipped with an Ultraviolet (UV) Sanitization System which works as an extremely powerful means of disinfection, killing over 99% of pathogens (including Coronavirus) instantly!
- All FINS pools have a separate filtration system. What does this mean? In short, it means that the water is not shared between pools. This further eliminates any chance for cross contamination.
- Nothing listed above is new to FINS. We have always operated this way. We believe in safety first and it applies to every single aspect of our business!
- FINS is adjusting scheduling options. We have adjusted all classes to 1:1 ratio, allowing for proper social distancing between each teaching station. (see more below about our amazing accelerated private lesson program!)
- FINS will require team members to wear a facial covering in our facilities. We will require all team members who are not in the water to wear a facial covering while in our facility until the request for the facial covering has been lifted by the local mayor. In addition, we recommend that customers practice this too.
- FINS will promote safe social distancing both in our view rooms and in the front desk area. While we have intentionally limited the number of classes going on simultaneously, we have also rearranged chairs in our viewing rooms.
- FINS will allow only one caregiver in the facility per swimmer.
- FINS pools are protected 100% against the spread of COVID-19. The CDC website clearly states that COVID-19 cannot be transmitted in chlorine. - FINS is increasing our efforts to maintain a safe and clean environment. “High touch areas” such as door handles, reception areas, and viewing room areas are cleaned frequently during hours of operation.
- FINS will not allow goggles to be borrowed at this time. Students must bring their own or swim without them. Goggles are available for purchase at each FINS location
- All equipment used during lessons will be sanitized between each use
- Over a year ago, FINS created an accelerated private lessons program. Each lesson is 20 minutes. In this program, students enrolled of all ages have achieved their desired swim goals at a more rapid pace due to its individualized attention. What we did not know at the time we were creating this program was that it would be of great significance due to Covid-19 and its many unexpected challenges. Because of our accelerated private lessons program we can easily accommodate better social distancing practices. So let’s call that a small win in this confusing and chaotic time!
- The instructor will follow our world class curriculum and will be able to customize the class to fit your child’s individual needs. There will be fewer distractions, more actual swim time and personalized feedback. We can say with certainty, your child WILL accelerate at a faster pace! (if they attend their regularly scheduled lessons, of course)
- Since reopening after the temporary shut down for Covid-19, students enrolled in all levels of our private lessons have experienced rapid progression. We are beyond thrilled (and we know you will be too) with students advancements through everything from water safety skills to swim stroke technique
- Parent/child classes, Baby FINS 1 and 2, will still be taught in a group setting
- Classes will still be 30 minutes long
- We have reduced the class size to 4 parent/child per class with 1 instructor. This will allow increased distancing between everyone.
- Any equipment used will be fully sanitized between classes
